Here is a simpler arrangement, with only an MP3 input.  Since the customer also requested my Delco Mod 1, a dummy tape is not required to use the amplifiers and speakers for an MP3 device - simply flip the switch to the MP3 position, plug in your device and sail away. The no-tape arrangement incurs an extra charge of $50.

There is NO EXTRA CHARGE to install an external MP3 input, which also functions as a LINE OUT for connection to an external amplifier and speakers. If separate MP3 inputs and Line Out jacks are desired, please add $50.

This customer requested an MP3 input and TWO sets of Line Outs - one before the controls and one after.  The external box has a removable cover on the bottom and holes pre-drilled in the top for convenient mounting under the dash. With both switches down, unit operates normally. With the "MP3" switch up, the motor in the 8 track section is disabled and a dummy tape must be inserted. With the "Line Out" switch up, the unit's internal speaker amplifiers are disabled since an external amplification system and speakers will be used.
